Released in 1985, Desaad brought Darkseid's cruel and cunning chief scientist to the expanding Super Powers Collection. Faithfully sculpted in his hooded green robes with distinctive facial features, the figure featured a leg-activated punching action that reflected his deceptive nature. Although never as prominent in comics as other New Gods, Desaad's unique sculpt and comparatively lower production numbers have made him one of the more desirable villains among collectors today.
